  • Overview

    TDI is looking for a Mid-level Security Engineer to support our customer in Alexandria, VA.  The Engineer shall be expected to have good technical skills related to the implementation and support of information technology and information security solutions. They shall serve as an individual contributor in technical efforts in the Information Security Office (ISO) to properly install, configure and support security tools, and document the associated processes with standard operating procedures. They shall also be responsible for responding to incidents, searching for malicious activity across the organization, analyzing data from a variety of security tools and sources, as well as recommending counter-measures for network defense.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist with automation of vulnerability and configuration scanning tools using Nessus and Tripwire enterprise. Provide recommendations to the engineering teams for remediation recommendations.
    • Provide IT Security Operations Support which includes:
      • Research and development support for new security technologies
      • Continuous threat analysis support
    • Provide Incident Management and Response Support
      • Continuous threat monitoring support with Splunk and Forcepoint Enterprise Content Filtering

    Qualifications

    • Five+ years of experience performing similar IT related work. Must demonstrate effective communications skills with customers, peers and subordinates.
    • Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting activities. Should be familiar with different reporting and writing tools such as but not limited to Word, Excel, SharePoint, Visio and Project.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical Field
    • Must possess a Moderate Risk Public Trust Clearance
