  • Overview

    TDI is looking for a Sr. Level Security Engineer to support our customer in Alexandria, VA.  The Engineer shall be expected to have good technical skills related to the implementation and support of information technology and information security solutions. They shall serve as a vital team member as an individual contributor and/or leader for technical efforts in the Information Security Office (ISO). The successful candidate will properly install, configure and support security tools, and then document the associated processes with standard operating procedures. They must have demonstrated experience reviewing existing security architectures then developing and implementing security solutions.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) in cyber security engineering, research and development.
    • Responsible for designing, developing, deploying and maintaining security related systems and security within information systems.
    • Evaluate current or emerging technologies to consider factors such as cost, security, compatibility, or usability.
    • Ensures CIA and integral components are implemented throughout the systems’ and data’s lifecycle, from design to decommission.
    • Document and address the organization's information security, cybersecurity architecture, and systems security engineering requirements throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
    • Ensures all design and procedural deliverables meet quality standards and performance requirements.
    • Experience with implementing and supporting the following tools/solutions: Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Enterprise Security, Enterprise Content Filtering, Data Loss Prevention, Intrusion Detection/Prevention, Secure Configuration Monitoring, Vulnerability Management, and Endpoint Protection.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer related field with a minimum seven (7) years of security experience or equivalent work experience. Experience may be used in lieu of education.
    • Must demonstrate effective communications skills with customers, peers and subordinates.
    • Responsible for weekly and monthly reporting activities. Should be familiar with different reporting and writing tools such as but not limited to Word, Excel, SharePoint, Visio and Project.
    • Certifications: Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certifications are desired
    • Must possess a Moderate Risk Public Trust Clearance
